Care Instructions
At Fioramere, our bohemian-inspired pieces are chosen for their soft movement, relaxed silhouettes, romantic details, and easy everyday wear. To help your clothing keep its shape, color, and texture for longer, please follow the care instructions below.
General Care
Before washing any item, always check the care label inside the garment. Different fabrics, prints, embroidery, lace, and trims may require different care methods.
For most pieces, we recommend:
- Wash with cold water
- Use a gentle cycle or hand wash when possible
- Wash similar colors together
- Turn printed or embroidered garments inside out before washing
- Use mild detergent
- Avoid bleach or harsh cleaning products
- Do not wring or twist delicate fabrics
- Air dry whenever possible
- Avoid high heat when washing, drying, or ironing
Dresses, Tops & Matching Sets
Flowing dresses, relaxed tops, and matching sets often include soft fabrics, natural drape, prints, lace, embroidery, or delicate details. To protect the look and feel of these pieces, we recommend washing them gently and avoiding rough friction.
If the item has embroidery, lace, tassels, buttons, or textured details, place it in a laundry bag before machine washing, or hand wash it separately for better protection.
Printed & Colored Garments
To help preserve color and print quality:
- Turn the garment inside out before washing
- Wash in cold water
- Avoid soaking for long periods
- Keep away from direct sunlight when drying
- Do not use bleach
- Wash dark, bright, and light colors separately
Slight fading may occur over time with repeated washing, especially on naturally colored, vintage-inspired, or richly printed fabrics. Gentle care can help slow this process.
Lace, Embroidery & Delicate Details
For garments with lace, embroidery, crochet-style textures, tassels, or decorative trims, handle with extra care.
We recommend:
- Hand washing when possible
- Using a mild detergent
- Avoiding strong rubbing or scrubbing
- Laying flat or hanging gently to dry
- Keeping sharp jewelry, bags, or rough surfaces away from delicate details
If threads or trims appear loose, do not pull them. Carefully trim loose threads with small scissors if needed.
Drying Instructions
Air drying is the best choice for most bohemian-inspired clothing.
After washing:
- Gently reshape the garment while damp
- Hang or lay flat to dry
- Avoid tumble drying unless the care label allows it
- Keep garments away from direct heat or strong sunlight
- Do not hang heavy wet items in a way that may stretch the fabric
High heat may cause shrinking, fading, fabric damage, or loss of shape.
Ironing & Steaming
Some soft or flowing fabrics may wrinkle after washing or storage. A garment steamer is often the safest way to refresh the look.
If ironing is needed:
- Use a low temperature setting
- Iron inside out
- Avoid ironing directly over prints, embroidery, lace, buttons, or trims
- Place a thin cloth between the iron and the garment for extra protection
Storage Tips
To help your clothing keep its shape:
- Store garments in a cool, dry place
- Keep away from direct sunlight
- Hang dresses, tops, and sets on smooth hangers when appropriate
- Fold heavier knits or stretch-sensitive pieces to prevent stretching
- Avoid overcrowding your closet
- Make sure garments are completely dry before storing
For seasonal storage, place clean and dry clothing in a breathable garment bag or storage box.
Stain Care
If a stain occurs, treat it as soon as possible.
- Gently blot the area instead of rubbing
- Use cold water first
- Test any stain remover on a hidden area before applying
- Avoid bleach unless the care label specifically allows it
- For delicate fabrics or difficult stains, consider professional cleaning
Rubbing too hard may damage fabric, prints, lace, or embroidery.
Extra Care for Long-Lasting Wear
Bohemian-inspired clothing often carries beauty in its texture, movement, and details. A little extra care can help each piece stay wearable and beautiful for longer.
We recommend rotating your favorite pieces, washing only when needed, and treating delicate details gently. With proper care, your clothing can continue to move with you through everyday moments, weekends, vacations, and every free-spirited chapter ahead.
